The Akwa Ibom Command of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) has assured the people of the state of its readiness to improve on its statutory responsibility through quality service delivery.
The state comptroller, Abdullahi Garba, who stated this in Uyo while presenting a 64-page e-passport to the wife of the state governor, Mrs Unoma Akpabio, stated that his command would render satisfactory and prompt services to all Nigerians and foreigners resident in the state.
He said the 64-page e-passport was launched by President Goodluck Jonathan in Abuja, adding that the introduction of the document was a direct response to ameliorate the plight of Nigeria’s frequent travellers who spend productive man hours in applying for re-issue of the 32-page passport.
